This was the last project that the god of death metal himself, Chuck Schuldiner, was involved in. I personally think that this is much better than anything Death ever put out. There's not a whole lot I can say about Mitochondrion. The music really speaks for itself. It is consistent in tone, but never gets old. It is some of the most atmospheric music I've ever heard. For fans of: Deathspell Omega, Ulcerate.
